Rally Workshop- Skills and Drills for Improving Performance

A workshop for any one familiar with AKC Rally at any level who is looking to improve their dog's accuracy, teamwork, or stress level at trials. We will cover things like pre-run warm up at shows, practicing and proofing start line behaviors, working your dog with distractions in an adjacent ring, and addressing dogs who "stick" or move slowly on certain exercises. We'll also talk about how to effectively train Rally at home or in a class/match setting instead of just running courses and drilling signs. There will be no full courses run - the goal is to add to your toolbox to train for best trial performance in a variety of settings and learn to troubleshoot on the fly in the ring.  

The working spots are full, but there are still auditing spots available.

Samantha Scicchigno (Staten Island, NY) has been teaching Rally classes since 2013. She has competed successfully at every level of AKC Rally, earning many High Triple and High Combined scores as well as a Rally Championship (RACH), and has shown at AKC Rally Nationals several times with her two mixed breed dogs. Sam takes a special interest in those new to dog sports and has taught many students Novice up through Master Rally. She believes Rally goals can be adapted to suit just about any team and is excited to see the sport take off in popularity!
