Class starts at 3:15 PM and ends at 4:15 PM

Duration: Tuesday afternoon for 6 Weeks

Training Level: Beginners or Puppy Foundation

Description:

Canine Musical Freestyle is a choreographed performance sport with many of its components based on obedience, rally, agility and tricks. Neither the handler nor dog is required to do any specific moves; it is all about what the team enjoys! This sport is about the bond and trust between the dog and handler as they move together to music while illustrating a joyful relationship.  Teams will learn to move to the music; however, no dancing skills are required.

We will cover the basics of what the sport entails. Teams will learn to put together freestyle moves with heeling to create short sequences. We will focus on essential elements such as moving across the ring with a few simple moves and building on what your dog already knows.

Dogs of any size, age, breed or health can enjoy this wonderful sport whether learning it for fun or as a competitor.

** If your dog doesn’t like the trial environment but you want to share your relationship, most who compete in this Freestyle do so by video entry so they can work where they feel safe.

Drop ins are available for this class if space is available, members $25 and non Members $30. Contact the instructor for availability.

All class registration fees must be paid prior to attendance of the first session of class.

Unpaid registrations could result in the registree losing their place in class and if there is a waiting list for that class the next person on the waiting list will be awarded the seat.

Acceptance into any class at Bayshore Companion Dog Club is at the discretion of Bayshore Companion Dog Club.

Class Registration Checks that are returned to the Treasurer will result in a $25.00 returned check fee assessed and payable before the student attends the next session of the class.

Bayshore Companion Dog Club reserves the right to cancel any classes that do not meet minimum attendance requirements.
