Pre-Novice 1 (Competition Obedience Class) - Thursday afternoon - August 2024

Class begins on 8/8/2024 and ends on 9/19/2024

Class starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 4:00 PM

Duration: Thursday Afternoon for 6 weeks (no class 9/12)

Training Level: Beginners or Puppy Foundation

Description:

This is the first in a 2 part series. This class will teach the skills needed for the AKC Beginner Novice and Novice levels of obedience.  These skills include: heeling, sit and stand for exam, recall, sit-stay get your leash, sit-stay walk around, and sit and down stays. Handling without the dog will be taught. Class will be fun and motivational with games and attention work to build a solid relationship with your dog.

Exclusion Dates:
This class will not occur on the following dates:

  • 9/12/2024

Prerequisites:

Prerequisites: Dogs should have graduated from the Attention 2 (foundation obedience skills for dog sports) class, or the Beginner 2 (pet class) or have equivalent skills.
