Scent Work Beyond Beginners: Skills for Upper Level Trialing - Wednesday - October 2024

Class begins on 10/2/2024 and ends on 11/6/2024

Class starts at 12:30 PM and ends at 1:30 PM

Duration: Wednesday afternoons for 6 Weeks

Description:

PLEASE NOTE: CONTINUING STUDENTS WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY TO REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS.  IF YOU'RE A NEW STUDENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THIS CLASS, PLEASE CONTACT THE INSTRUCTOR (frshriver@me.com) TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST. 

This class builds up the skills necessary to compete at the NW2/NW3/Elite level in NACSW, Excellent/Master/Detective title levels in AKC. Dogs must be proficient in all venue odors. This class will focus on a variety of skills (threshold hides, high hides, converging odors) and elements (interiors, exteriors, buried, vehicles, handler discrimination). Handling technique, building stamina and drive,  and time pressure will also be addressed. 

This class may meet at locations near the BCDC clubhouse, students will be given notice ahead of time when and where to meet. Classes may also train outside in all weather. 

Drop ins are available for this class if space is available, members $25 and non Members $30. Contact the instructor for availability.

All class registration fees must be paid prior to attendance of the first session of class.

Unpaid registrations could result in the registree losing their place in class and if there is a waiting list for that class the next person on the waiting list will be awarded the seat.

Acceptance into any class at Bayshore Companion Dog Club is at the discretion of Bayshore Companion Dog Club.

Class Registration Checks that are returned to the Treasurer will result in a $25.00 returned check fee assessed and payable before the student attends the next session of the class.

Bayshore Companion Dog Club reserves the right to cancel any classes that do not meet minimum attendance requirements.

Class schedules are subject to change without notice.

Prerequisites:

Dogs should be trial ready for this class or have instructor approval.
